Rachel DePenning

Junior Designer

I’ve always been drawn to design, inspired by my mother’s love of home renovation shows and an appreciation for spaces that balance style and function. After earning a Communications degree, I spent nearly a decade in retail, working my way up at H&M and helping to open new stores—an experience that sharpened my eye for merchandising, styling, and how people interact with their environments.

Looking for a more creative and fulfilling path, I pursued certifications in Residential Interior Design and Feng Shui, focusing on how thoughtful design can make everyday life better. I gained hands-on experience as a kitchen designer, guiding clients through layouts, materials, and finishes, and later at Now Furnishings, where I took on everything from design consulting to website management.

Now at Danco, I’m excited to help clients create spaces that reflect their style and needs. Outside of work, I spend time hiking, crafting, and planning for the tiny beach house I hope to build someday. My Great Dane mix, Pepper, is always nearby, reminding me that the best spaces are comfortable, functional, and meant to be lived in.
