Lila Hartwell
Junior Designer
Born and raised in Western Massachusetts, I was surrounded by creativity and design from an early age. My parents built and designed our family home, filling my childhood with experiences in art, architecture, music and dance. I showed an early interest in the arts during what my family calls my “potato-head period” at the age of two, and my parents wholeheartedly encouraged and supported my passion.
I pursued my love for the arts by studying at The Art Institute of Boston, where I trained as a painter, before completing my Associate of Fine Arts in Drawing and Painting at Greenfield Community College. I then earned a Bachelor of Science in Business and Interior Design from Bay Path University. My design process is deeply influenced by the educated women in my life who maintained beautiful homes, and by the men who engineered and built them.
I approach every project with curiosity and a commitment to creative problem-solving, always drawing inspiration from the diverse artistic environment in which I was raised. My goal is to create spaces that reflect the people who inhabit them, blending function and beauty in a way that feels organic.
