About Gat Creek

Antiques to Artistry

After serving in WWII, Tom Seely opened an antique shop in Baltimore in 1946, sourcing furniture from estate sales. In the mid-1950s, he moved to Berkeley Springs, West Virginia, and began restoring and refinishing furniture. As demand outpaced supply, he started manufacturing reproductions, laying the foundation for Gat Creek.
